Dear comrades,
On February 24, our TUI PS- Europe of WFTU carried out a Teleconference with Trade Unions of Europe on the subject: " The situation for the Workers of Europe. The duties of the Trade Union Movement against the Anti- Workers' Attack of Governments - Capital - EU" .
At the meeting participated Trade Unions from Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, France, Basque Country, Sweden and Greece. Also participated and addressed a speech the General Secretary of TUI PS and from the Central Offices of WFTU.
The discussion was rich and concluded to the following actions for the next period:
1) Common statement of our unions for the situation in Europe, which can be also co-signed by more unions. With that and with the statement of TUI PS for the vaccines, to go to the work places and discuss with the workers.
2) To make o common poster calling workers to organize to their unions
3) Organize an event in each country on pandemic issues and workers’ rights with unionists, doctors and other colleagues
4) We can make a few-minute video of a unionist of healthcare in every country with the flag of his organization , in which we will give information’s about the action plan of fighting for the workers’ rights and against the pandemic. We can put that video in our TUI’s website so that the workers in every country will know what’s happening.
5) An event for Working Women's Day that each of our unions must organize on March 8.
6) In the 3rd of April, a Pan-European day of blood donation of public service unions.
7) In the 7th of April, International day of health, we can make mobilizations in each country, having the experience of the previous year mobilizations. Every union to take actions with the demands that we have in the statement.
8) We Intensify action on WFTU campaigns for Palestine, Cuba, Venezuela
