FNSTFPS, Portugal : Note of Solidarity with the Struggle of the Italian Workers and the Strike called by USB

                                                                   

    The National Federation of Trade Unions of Workers in Public and Social Functions stands in solidarity with the continuation of the struggle of the Italian workers materialized with another general strike called by its USB class union organization for May 26, under the slogan "It's time to fight! Meloni's government must end."

     The recovery of purchasing power; better working conditions, against the precariousness and flexibility of working patterns; compulsory part-time work and redundancies.

    For fair wage increases that allow a dignified life for millions of Italian workers, women and men who are in the crosshairs of the neo-fascist policies of the Meloni government.

    In defense of the social rights that guarantee the right to health, education, housing, public transport and others enshrined in the constitutional charter of Italy.

    All these reasons have been a reason for the struggle of the Portuguese workers and other European countries, a constant struggle for the conquered rights that are being stolen.

  The struggle is also against the capitalist system, American imperialism and the neoliberalism imposed, also, in Europe by the baton of the European Union that opposes the development that respects the civilizational achievements obtained with the Struggle of the European workers.

    Comrades, your struggle is our struggle count on the solidarity of the Portuguese workers, including those of the Public Administration, for your immediate demands:

- WAGES LINKED TO REAL INFLATION

- MINIMUM WAGE 10€ PER HOUR

- LOW PRICES AND RATES
