Solidarity with
French workers against trade union persecution
TUI PS Europe of the WFTU denounces the new attempt to
terrorize workers and criminalize workers' struggles by the French government,
which calls for an apology to the Secretary General of the Energy Federation
Sébastien Menesplier for the militant initiatives developed by the unions in
recent months against Macron's pension reform.
The long struggle of the workers of France managed,
with the huge mobilizations of millions of workers, to show that the French
people rejected the anti-worker reforms of the French Government. An important
role in the mobilizations and their success was played by the initiative and
the diversity of actions decided and implemented by the workers themselves
through massive, collective processes throughout the country and workplaces.
The French
Government, wanting to prepare for the continuation of the offensive, is
escalating the repression by criminalizing trade union activity and workers'
struggles, by persecuting trade union officials. This proves that in the
European Union the "Democracy" and "Freedoms" of the people
and the workers only go as far as the interests and profits of the business
groups begin. While governments across Europe, regardless of hue, will promote
the interests of the bosses by any means and means, escalating repression and
authoritarianism.
TUI PS Europe of the WFTU denounces the new
anti-worker plans of the French Government.
Terrorism and authoritarianism will again be crushed
against the wall of mass, internationalist, class solidarity.
TUI PS Europe of the WFTU is calling on all public
sector unions in Europe to express their support and solidarity with the
workers of France and their just struggles!
