The National Federation of Trade Unions of Workers in Public and Social Functions expresses its solidarity with the continuous action of the struggle, in defence of the rights of Public Administration workers (civil servants) and in defence of Public Services.
We express our Solidarity with the General Strike of the Public Sector of November 17th called by USB, for:
- Integration and stabilization of all workers, in a precarious situation, and due to the government's inadequate choices in the Public Administration;
- Hiring more workers with permanent contracts to meet the effective needs of the Public Administration;
- For wage increases that respond to rising inflation.
Your struggle is also the struggle of the workers of the public service in Portugal, in which precariousness, the lack of workers and the devaluation of wages accompanied by a policy of destruction of public services, namely through their privatisation, are a reality that results from the neoliberal governance emanating from the EU.
