PRESS RELEASE The online discussion event on Collective Bargaining organized by the European Vice-Presidency of TUI-PS was held with great success on June 25, 2024. The discussion was attended by dozens of trade unionists from Greece, Portugal, Cyprus (Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots), Italy, transferring valuable experience from the collective bargaining processes in their countries and the struggles of the class trade union movement. The final conclusions of the discussion highlighted the community of problems faced by workers in Europe, the need to strengthen solidarity between trade unions in European countries and the potential for joint initiatives and the development of the class current. 27.6.24

European Meeting of the WFTU under the slogan “For a militant, internationalist, coordinated European Trade Union Movement”

A European Trade Union Meeting is taking place in Athens, Greece on the framework of the 75th Anniversary Activities of the World Federation of Trade Unions under the title “For a militant, internationalist, coordinated European Trade Union Movement”. Trade Unions from 13 countries all over the continent are participating in this important initiative for the strengthening of the workers’ struggles in Europe. Moreover, other WFTU affiliates and friends trade unions which were not able to attend the meeting expressed their support to this importing initiative and the militant efforts of the WFTU. The delegates are discussing the challenges faced by the workers in Europe and underlining the possibilities and the necessity of the intensification of the coordinated joint efforts for the satisfaction of the contemporary needs and interests of the popular strata. Conclusions of the Teleconference of TUI PS Europe

Dear comrades, On February 24, our TUI PS- Europe of WFTU carried out a Teleconference with Trade Unions of Europe on the subject: " The situation for the Workers of Europe. The duties of the Trade Union Movement against the Anti- Workers' Attack of Governments - Capital - EU" . At the meeting participated Trade Unions from Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, France, Basque Country, Sweden and Greece. Also participated and addressed a speech the General Secretary of TUI PS and from the Central Offices of WFTU. The discussion was rich and concluded to the following actions for the next period: 1) Common statement of our unions for the situation in Europe, which can be also co-signed by more unions.
